The Bridge Hotel & Spa is a 17th-century country-house hotel and events venue located at Walshford near Wetherby in West Yorkshire. Situated within Yorkshire's "Golden Triangle" between Leeds, York and Harrogate, the hotel combines historic character with modern accommodation, conference facilities, wedding spaces, dining and spa amenities. Its location close to the A1 makes it convenient for guests and delegates travelling from across Yorkshire. Our venue offers a range of event spaces suitable for small meetings through to larger conferences, receptions and weddings. Its largest listed conference space, the Ribston Suite, can accommodate up to 250 people according to the conference listing, while the hotel's wedding information gives the Ribston Suite a capacity of 150 during the day and 200 in the evening. Our hotel has 37 individually styled bedrooms, allowing event organisers to combine accommodation with meetings or celebrations. Other facilities include the Courtyard Restaurant, Byron Whisky Bar, Courtyard Spa, outdoor hot tubs, thermal sauna and steam room. The Bridge caters for conferences, meetings, weddings, parties, christenings, funerals, banquets and other private functions. It also has an outdoor gazebo licensed for civil marriages and partnerships, with seating for up to 150 people.
The Ribston Suite is the largest event space at The Bridge. It has full-length French windows overlooking the private terrace and hotel grounds, providing strong natural light and outdoor access. The conference page lists capacity up to 250, while the wedding specification gives 150 daytime and 200 evening guests. It also has its own private bar.
The Walshford Suite overlooks the Italian courtyard through French windows. Its adjoining Walshford Bar can function as a reception area and private bar, making it suitable for weddings, private celebrations, meetings and banquets. Wedding capacity is up to 80 during the day and 175 in the evening.
The Byron Room is the hotel's most historically distinctive function room, featuring 18th-century Rococo plasterwork, an Italian marble fireplace and an English crystal chandelier. It accommodates up to 60 for conferences and up to 70 for evening weddings.
The Wharfe Room is the smallest dedicated conference space. The hotel describes it as suitable for just 16 people and particularly appropriate for small meetings and intimate events. It is on the ground floor and benefits from a bay window providing natural light.
For couples dreaming of a romantic garden ceremony, the hotel's beautifully designed outdoor Gazebo is fully licensed for civil marriages.
