Traquair House

Set in the Scottish Borders, Traquair House provides a historic setting for weddings, private celebrations, group visits and special events. Our house is surrounded by extensive grounds, woodland, gardens and the Quair River, creating a distinctive countryside setting for visitors and celebrations. We offer wedding facilities within the historic house and grounds, with civil ceremonies possible in registered areas including the High Drawing Room, Dining Room, Lower Drawing Room and grounds. Our wider estate includes the famous maze, woodland walks, the Old Walled Garden Café, a historic brewery and accommodation. Weddings can take place in the house, chapel, gardens and other areas according to the type of celebration being planned. We can also assist with additional wedding arrangements, including local suppliers, bar services and outdoor catering options. Beyond weddings, we host a programme of public and private events throughout the year, making Traquair a historic destination with a variety of spaces and experiences.
