Botleys Mansion is a grand, 18th-century Palladian stately home located in Chertsey, Surrey. Situated just 30 minutes outside of London, the estate is tucked away at the end of a long, leafy private driveway and is completely surrounded by 56 acres of rolling parkland. Built originally in the 1760s by architect Kenton Couse for Sir Joseph Mawbey, the historic mansion has a rich heritage, once serving as a 14th-century manor house seized by Henry VIII. It is currently operated as a premier, exclusive-use wedding and events venue managed by Harper Weddings.
On the piano noble (the house’s raised ground floor), the Green Room hosts up to 131. In the light of a summer afternoon, its soft, pastel hues take on a certain ethereal quality. With a striking centrepiece chandelier and intricately carved ceilings, the acoustics here are second-to-none, making it the perfect setting for a string quartet.
A more contemporary space, flooded with light by day, a magical spectacle by night, the Atrium hosts up to 360 seated and 500 for an evening reception. There’s nothing quite like the head-turning moment you begin your descent of the central staircase, into a sea of admiring smiles.
The Mansion Lawn is now licensed for ceremonies, ideal for an al fresco ceremony in the sunshine with a pretty gazebo as the centrepiece.
The Morning Room is a period-style room also used for guest relaxation, drinks, and socializing during events.
The Library is a warm, elegant, and intimate historic space designed for conversation, connection and making memories that last long after the last dance.
