Bolton Castle

We are Bolton Castle, a magnificent medieval castle near Leyburn in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, providing a truly distinctive setting for weddings, private celebrations, ceremonies and special events. Our historic rooms, gardens and surrounding countryside create an atmospheric backdrop for occasions ranging from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations. We offer flexible event options, including ceremony-only hire, reception-only hire and exclusive use of the entire castle and gardens. Our principal rooms include the Solar, Nursery, Hall and Tea Room, while our grounds provide opportunities for outdoor ceremonies and marquees. We can accommodate up to 120 seated guests within the castle, with space for a marquee seating up to 250 guests in the grounds. Our wedding team supports planning and coordination, while recommended catering suppliers provide menus and drinks packages. We can also enhance events with falconry, archery and other unique experiences. Free parking is available opposite the castle entrance, making us accessible for visiting guests.
