We are Durham University’s Collingwood College, a purpose-built collegiate venue set within attractive grounds on South Road, close to Durham’s city centre and next to the University Botanic Garden. We combine modern conference facilities with residential accommodation, dining, social spaces and extensive recreational amenities, making us suitable for a wide variety of events. Our purpose-built Penthouse Conference Suite provides flexible meeting and conference facilities, with integrated audiovisual technology and spaces that can be configured for different group sizes. We can accommodate up to 100 delegates in the main conference setup, while our Dining Hall can cater for up to 200 diners. We also offer en-suite accommodation, on-site catering, Wi-Fi, event management support and a fully stocked bar. Our Mark Hillery Arts Centre provides a modern theatre space seating up to 200 people, adding another option for performances, presentations and larger gatherings. We are particularly suited to conferences, residential events, training, meetings, private dining, celebrations and academic gatherings.
