At Dalton Old Pump House, we offer an extraordinary events venue where Victorian industrial heritage meets modern luxury. Our Grade II* listed former water pumping station dates from the 1870s and has been carefully restored to create a distinctive setting for weddings, celebrations and corporate events. We provide exclusive use of our venue and grounds, meaning our guests can enjoy the entire setting privately for their occasion. Our dramatic Engine Room provides a memorable ceremony setting, while our spectacular Boiler Room offers approximately 4,000 square feet of entertaining space, with soaring ceilings, original Victorian brickwork and more than 50 chandeliers. We also have a beautiful Bridal Suite, Hawksley Bar and landscaped Terrace for drinks, photographs and relaxed gatherings. Our experienced team provides wedding coordination, in-house catering, drinks, entertainment and event support. We can accommodate both intimate celebrations and large gatherings, while our historic architecture gives every occasion a distinctive atmosphere. We aim to combine exceptional hospitality with the character and grandeur of our unique Victorian surroundings.
Our Engine Room is the heart of Dalton Old Pump House and provides a dramatic setting for wedding ceremonies. We surround your ceremony with original Victorian engine works, soaring architecture and historic industrial details, creating a truly distinctive atmosphere.
Our Boiler Room is our main reception and entertainment space, covering approximately 4,000 square feet. We accommodate around 250 guests for dining and more than 300 for evening receptions, surrounded by original brickwork, ironwork and spectacular chandeliers.
Our Bridal Suite provides a spacious and relaxing preparation area for the bridal party. We offer comfortable seating, bespoke make-up areas, an en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, Bluetooth speaker and facilities for children who need a quiet place to rest.
Our Terrace provides a peaceful outdoor setting surrounded by roses and landscaped grounds. We use this space for reception drinks, photographs and relaxed moments between formal parts of an event, giving guests a beautiful outdoor area alongside our historic building.
