Kirklinton Hall & Gardens

Kirklinton Hall & Gardens is our historic 17th-century country house ruin and estate situated just outside Carlisle, close to the Scottish border. We offer a truly distinctive setting for weddings and events, surrounded by extensive formal gardens, woodland and meadow. Our historic setting gives couples the choice of celebrating beneath our Petal Pole stretch marquee in the apple orchard or within the atmospheric Old Hall Ruin. We can accommodate up to 120 guests in either of these principal wedding spaces. Our formal terraces overlooking the Main Lawn provide another beautiful setting for outdoor ceremonies and drinks receptions, while the surrounding gardens offer plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy the landscape. We also provide three unique holiday cottages within the estate, allowing guests to stay close to the Hall. Throughout the year, we continue to restore and develop our historic buildings and gardens, combining our heritage with carefully considered facilities and experiences for visitors and couples.
