Nakoosi Eco Lodge & Backpackers is a nature-focused accommodation and event property located along Namuyenje–Nakoosi Road in Mukono, Uganda. The property operates as an eco-lodge and backpackers' facility, providing accommodation alongside flexible spaces that can support meetings, group activities and informal social events. Its setting is centred around outdoor greenery and a relaxed environment, making it particularly suitable for organisations, educational groups, researchers, backpackers and other groups seeking a less formal alternative to a conventional hotel or conference centre. The lodge offers a combination of an indoor meeting space and several outdoor areas, including a garden, terrace and picnic area. These spaces can be adapted for small meetings, workshops, training activities, group discussions, private celebrations and relaxed outdoor gatherings. The property's natural setting and open spaces make it especially suitable for events that benefit from a calm, informal and environmentally oriented atmosphere. In addition to its event and gathering spaces, Nakoosi Eco Lodge & Backpackers provides accommodation, an on-site restaurant, free Wi-Fi in public areas, a business centre, parking and other guest services. The property also offers recreational facilities and outdoor amenities, including bicycle rental and a playground. As an eco-focused property, it is particularly well suited to educational, research, environmental and community-oriented groups, while its garden and outdoor spaces can also accommodate smaller social events.
The lodge has a dedicated meeting space that can be used for small corporate meetings, workshops, training sessions, group discussions and educational activities. The indoor setting provides a more structured and private environment than the property's outdoor spaces, making it suitable for focused sessions, presentations and team meetings.
The garden provides a natural and flexible outdoor setting within the lodge grounds. Surrounded by the property's eco-lodge environment, the space can be adapted for informal group gatherings, private celebrations, outdoor meetings, picnics, team activities and other social events. Its open-air setting makes it particularly suitable for guests who prefer a relaxed event atmosphere rather than a conventional indoor venue.
The terrace is an outdoor or semi-open relaxation and gathering area that offers a smaller setting for informal meetings and social occasions. It can be used as a breakout space during group activities, for casual conversations, intimate celebrations or relaxed group dining. The terrace also provides an alternative setting for guests who want to enjoy the lodge's natural surroundings while remaining close to the main accommodation and hospitality facilities.
Nakoosi Eco Lodge & Backpackers has an on-site restaurant that serves guests and can also support group dining arrangements. The dining area is suitable for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and smaller private group meals. For events and group programmes held at the lodge, the restaurant can also serve as an important supporting space for meal breaks and catering.
