Another Place, The Lake is our lakeside hotel set within 18 acres of the Lake District National Park, overlooking Ullswater and the surrounding fells. We bring together relaxed hospitality, contemporary spaces, good food and an active connection with the landscape. Our hotel provides a range of gathering spaces that can be adapted for private dinners, workshops, company away days, parties, celebrations and weddings. The Glasshouse gives us a light-filled Victorian-style space close to the water, while our private dining and meeting room provides a more focused setting for smaller groups. For larger celebrations and retreats, we offer exclusive use of the hotel, including 47 bedrooms, Rampsbeck Restaurant, The Living Space, The Glasshouse and our lakeside grounds. We also provide direct access to Ullswater, allowing guests to enjoy paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing and open-water swimming. Whether we are hosting an intimate wedding, corporate retreat or private celebration, we create experiences shaped around our lake, our spaces and our guests.
We offer our light-filled Victorian-style Glasshouse overlooking Ullswater as an adaptable setting for workshops, away days, shared suppers and private gatherings. It includes a wood-fired pizza oven, bar, firepit and outdoor seating
Our private dining and meeting room inside Rampsbeck Restaurant accommodates up to 20 people and includes a 55-inch presentation screen and Wi-Fi. We use it for focused meetings, workshops and private dinners.
We can use our Library as an intimate wedding ceremony location, particularly for smaller celebrations. The official wedding offering allows intimate weddings for the couple and up to 18 guests.
Our Living Space provides a social setting within the hotel and can form part of private events and exclusive-use celebrations, including weddings and larger group gatherings.
Our jetty provides one of the available locations for intimate wedding ceremonies, giving couples a distinctive lakeside setting directly beside Ullswater.
We offer 18 acres of grounds running down to the shore of Ullswater, giving event groups access to outdoor space, lake views and activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing and open-water swimming.
