Hotel du Vin York is a characterful boutique hotel and multi-purpose events venue situated at 89 The Mount, close to York's historic city centre. We occupy a Grade II-listed building dating from the early nineteenth century and combine period architecture with contemporary Hotel du Vin interiors. We contain 44 bedrooms and suites, a Bistro, Bar du Vin, private dining facilities and a central courtyard. Our meetings and events operation currently features four principal private rooms: Ruinart, The Ouse, The Library and The Courtyard. The Courtyard is the largest of these spaces, accommodating up to 60 people in theatre configuration, 50 for dinner and 70 for drinks receptions. Ruinart accommodates up to 30 theatre or dinner guests and 40 for drinks, while The Ouse accommodates up to 20 theatre or dinner guests and 24 for drinks. The Library is the smallest, providing an intimate setting for up to 12 people for dinner. We are suitable for corporate meetings, training, networking, seminars, product launches, private dining, weddings, drinks receptions and celebrations. Our current meeting packages include Wi-Fi, conference stationery, an LCD screen, flip chart, refreshments and catering. We are also suitable for residential corporate events because we provide 44 bedrooms. Our central location, historic character, on-site parking, catering and flexible indoor/outdoor spaces make us particularly suitable for smaller and medium-sized events rather than very large conferences.
Ruinart is an elegant private room featuring Georgian architectural character, large windows and a distinctive hand-painted mural. It is suitable for corporate meetings, presentations, private dining, wedding functions and drinks receptions. The room accommodates up to 30 people theatre-style or for dinner and up to 40 for drinks.
The Ouse is a distinctive private meeting and dining room with large floor-to-ceiling Georgian-style windows and a hand-painted wine-cellar mural. Its intimate scale makes it suitable for executive meetings, small conferences, private dinners, training sessions and drinks receptions for smaller groups.
The Library is Hotel du Vin York's smallest dedicated private room and is designed for intimate meetings and dining. It is particularly suited to executive discussions, small private dinners and discreet gatherings. The venue's current information gives capacity for 10 in boardroom configuration and 12 for dinner.
The Bistro is the hotel's larger dining and celebration environment and can be used for weddings, private dinners, receptions and social occasions. It is separate from the four dedicated meeting rooms and is therefore best recorded as an additional event-capable hospitality space rather than a conference room.
The Courtyard is the largest and most flexible event space at Hotel du Vin York. Located in the centre of the hotel, it provides an attractive setting for meetings, weddings, dining and drinks receptions. Its outdoor character makes it particularly useful for seasonal celebrations, photographs, ceremonies and reception events.
