Hedgefield House

We provide four-star guest accommodation within a historic Georgian mansion set in approximately four acres of award-winning gardens in Ryton, close to Newcastle upon Tyne. Our house dates from 1804 and offers a distinctive period setting, with free Wi-Fi throughout the building and ample on-site parking. We are particularly well placed for guests visiting the North East, with Newcastle city centre, the Metrocentre, Hadrian’s Wall and the surrounding Northumbrian countryside all within easy reach. For weddings, we provide accommodation for guests attending nearby venues, including Kirkley Hall, and can accommodate wedding-party overspill when the main venue is full. Our grounds include a walled garden, woodland area, pond, lawns and herbaceous borders, giving guests a peaceful setting during their stay. We focus primarily on comfortable guest accommodation and personal service rather than operating as a dedicated conference or general event-hire venue.
