The Golden Fleece Hotel, Eatery & Coffee House

The Golden Fleece Hotel is a historic hotel, restaurant and events venue situated prominently in Thirsk Market Place, North Yorkshire. We are a characterful former coaching inn with Georgian architecture and a long history, providing a distinctive setting for business meetings, conferences, weddings, private celebrations and social events. We have 26 individually styled bedrooms and a dedicated conference and events operation. Our largest current event space is the Cromwell Suite, a flexible ground-floor room with high ceilings, natural daylight, an adjoining bar lounge and movable partitions. The suite can accommodate up to 200 people in theatre style and up to 250 for social and reception events. We also offer several spaces for celebrations and private dining, including the Oak Room, Rydale and Farmer's. Our catering is provided in-house, with bespoke lunches and team dining available for business events. Delegate packages can include room hire, equipment, hot drinks, water and lunch. Other facilities include free Wi-Fi, free on-site parking, air conditioning in selected meeting rooms, presentation equipment and on-site accommodation. Our central Thirsk location, between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, makes us suitable for both local events and residential corporate gatherings.
