Alston Town Hall is a historic community building in the centre of Alston, Cumbria, and we continue to serve as an important focal point for the local community. We provide spaces for private hire, community activities, meetings, presentations, workshops, exhibitions and entertainment. Our main hall is suitable for larger events and has hosted theatre productions, craft markets, exercise classes, music events, film screenings and private celebrations. We also provide a separate ground-floor meeting room for smaller meetings and gatherings. Our facilities include free Wi-Fi, wheelchair accessibility, accessible toilet facilities and video-conferencing capabilities. The building also houses Alston Library and the Local Links and Tourist Information service. We welcome a varied programme of community and private events, from birthday and anniversary parties to business meetings, lectures and workshops. Our central location on Front Street places us in the heart of the historic town of Alston, making us a practical community venue for local events and activities.
Our Main Hall is our larger event space and is available for private functions, business meetings, presentations, workshops and community events. We also host theatre productions, music events, screenings, craft markets and exercise classes here.
Our ground-floor Meeting Room is designed for smaller meetings and gatherings. We make the room available for private hire and provide video-conferencing facilities, making it suitable for meetings, presentations and other small-group activities.
