Langdale Chase

Set on the shores of Windermere in the Lake District, Langdale Chase combines historic country-house character with contemporary luxury and exceptional views across the lake. Our hotel has welcomed visitors since 1891 and now provides individually designed bedrooms and suites, fine dining, welcoming lounges, a bar, terrace and extensive historic gardens. We offer several distinctive spaces for private dining, parties, get-togethers and special occasions, including The Dining Room, Sitting Room, Oak Room and Cellar. Our four-and-a-half-acre gardens, originally laid out by landscape gardener Thomas Henry Mawson, provide a peaceful outdoor setting overlooking Windermere. We also feature a private cinema room, wine cellar and a lakeside jetty, with experiences including kayaking, paddleboarding, walking and cruises aboard our 1928 Albatros motor yacht. For groups and corporate occasions, our private gathering spaces provide an intimate alternative to conventional event venues. With exceptional scenery, refined dining and a range of indoor and outdoor spaces, we offer a memorable setting for private gatherings, celebrations, dining experiences and Lake District escapes.
