Sunny Bank Mills

Sunny Bank Mills is a historic former textile mill in the heart of Farsley, West Leeds, dating back to 1829. We have developed the site into a mixed cultural, creative, commercial and community destination while retaining its industrial character and heritage. Our facilities include arts and exhibition spaces, artists’ studios, a museum and archive, event spaces, independent businesses, food and drink, and the Old Woollen performance venue. We host a broad programme of cultural activities, workshops, exhibitions, markets, performances and community events throughout the year. The Old Woollen provides a dedicated 500-capacity space for music, comedy, theatre and spoken-word performances. Our wider site can also support festivals, markets, creative activities and private events, with the historic buildings providing distinctive settings for different types of gatherings.
