Darrington Golf Club is a premier 18-hole parkland golf facility and events venue located in the picturesque countryside of Darrington, Pontefract, West Yorkshire. Established in 1993, we combine a high-quality sporting environment with flexible hospitality and event spaces, making us a strong choice for recreation, corporate gatherings and private celebrations. At the heart of the club is our championship golf course, a par-71 layout set among mature woodland, water features and landscaped fairways. We also have a 23-bay heated driving range equipped with TrackMan technology and a professional teaching academy. For guests who are not golfing, our modern clubhouse provides a welcoming social environment with dining facilities, seasonal menus and outdoor terraces overlooking the course. Our event facilities are particularly suited to corporate events, private parties and weddings. The flagship Fairways Suite can accommodate up to 200 guests and features panoramic views across the golf course, a private bar and a licensed space for civil ceremonies. Our dedicated events team and in-house culinary team work with organisers to tailor the setting, catering and arrangements to suit individual requirements. With our scenic parkland setting, modern clubhouse, flexible event facilities and established hospitality operation, we provide a distinctive venue that combines the tranquillity of a countryside golf course with the facilities and service required for corporate functions, weddings and private celebrations.
The flagship Fairways Suite is a spectacular, airy banquet hall holding up to 200 guests. Surrounded by panoramic, floor-to-ceiling vistas of the parkland course, this self-contained venue features an exclusive license for civil ceremonies, a private fully staffed bar, a built-in dance floor, and French doors opening onto elegant private gardens.
The Range Room is the newest addition, offering a modern and functional space for meetings, training sessions, or private events. Overlooking the driving range, this versatile room features state-of-the-art amenities such as Wi-Fi, a ceiling-recessed screen and projector, a flipchart, and a Rijo coffee machine. With its private access and flexible seating arrangements, the Range Room can accommodate up to 40 delegates in various configurations, including theatre style, cabaret, U-shape, boardroom, and classroom. Whether you’re hosting a small team meeting or a large conference, the Range Room provides a comfortable and inspiring setting.
This Suite is ideal for one-to-one interviews or small meetings. It is a private room located just off the main lobby of the Clubhouse. The room is ideal as a temporary office space, interview room or for small business meetings. It has access to the printing facilities via the main office when emailed across and a waiting area in the foyer. Lunch or refreshment breaks can be held in the room or the Clubhouse Lounge.
