Washington AFC

Washington Football Club provides a community-focused football environment at the Northern Area Playing Fields on Stephenson Road in Washington, Tyne and Wear. We support football participation across a wide range of ages and abilities, with programmes covering youth development, recreational football, competitive teams and senior football. Our club places strong emphasis on helping players develop their technical ability, understanding of the game and enjoyment of football in a positive community setting. We provide opportunities for both boys and girls and operate development activities designed to introduce younger players to the sport while helping established players continue to progress. Our facilities at the Northern Area Playing Fields also provide the home setting for our football activities, matches, training and community programmes. From youth football and development centres to football camps and senior-team activities, our focus remains on participation, development and creating an enjoyable football environment. We continue to build our club around community involvement, player development and a genuine passion for the game.
