We are The Manor House (1707), a Grade II* listed Queen Anne mansion in the heart of Sedgefield, County Durham, overlooking the village green. Built in 1707, our historic building has evolved from a private residence and council offices to a magistrates’ court and now a distinctive business, meetings and events centre. We offer a memorable setting for conferences, meetings, private celebrations, performances, wedding breakfasts and evening receptions. Our flexible spaces include the Old Court Room, Freville Room, Pineapple Bar and Georgian Reception Hall, allowing us to accommodate intimate meetings as well as larger celebrations. Our Old Court Room can host up to 80 delegates for conferences and up to 100 guests for part-standing celebrations. We provide free Wi-Fi, a 55-inch smart TV, projector and screen, flip charts, private parking and EV charging. Our licensed Pineapple Bar provides an atmospheric cellar setting for private parties, meetings, performances and social gatherings.

We use our Georgian Reception Hall alongside the Old Court Room for socialising, buffets, DJs and performances, creating an elegant entrance space beneath our impressive Grand Staircase.

We host private parties, celebrations and meetings in our atmospheric cellar Pineapple Bar, accommodating up to 50 guests, with a licensed bar and individually tailored drinks selection.

We provide our Freville Room for intimate meetings, accommodating 2–16 delegates depending on arrangement, with a boardroom setting particularly suited to focused discussions, interviews and presentations.
