Woodlands Bistro & Venue

We are Woodlands Bistro & Venue, a family-run bistro, wedding and events venue nestled in the beautiful County Durham countryside at Congburn Nurseries in Edmondsley. We offer a relaxed setting where guests can enjoy good food, celebrations and special occasions away from the hustle and bustle, while remaining close to Durham city centre. Our venue can accommodate between 60 and 150 guests for weddings and larger celebrations, with a fully stocked bar and in-house catering prepared by our expert chefs. We can transform our event space to suit a wide range of occasions, from weddings and birthday parties to baby showers, engagements, anniversaries and other family celebrations. We also provide entertainment and décor options, while our outdoor terrace and surrounding countryside create opportunities for guests to enjoy the setting. Alongside our events offering, we operate our bistro for breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea, making Woodlands a versatile destination for dining, celebrations and memorable gatherings throughout the year.
