Scunthorpe Central

Scunthorpe Central is our central library and community facility in the heart of Scunthorpe, providing a welcoming space for learning, information, study, relaxation and community activities. We offer free Wi-Fi, access to a wide selection of books and information resources, together with advice and guidance services for local residents and visitors. Our central location on Carlton Street makes us easily accessible within the town centre, and our facilities support a variety of community-focused activities and events. We also provide space for cultural and creative initiatives, with Scunthorpe Central being part of North Lincolnshire Council’s wider programme of activities in the town. Our building has recently been associated with the development of The Base, a new space intended to support creative industries, digital activity, collaboration and local enterprise. We provide a practical community environment rather than a traditional wedding or private-function venue, making us particularly suitable for educational, cultural, community and creative activities.
