East Durham College

We are East Durham College, a major education and event venue in County Durham offering flexible facilities across our Peterlee and Houghall campuses. Our facilities are available for external hire and can accommodate a wide variety of corporate, social and public events, from small meetings and training sessions to large conferences, exhibitions and outdoor events. Our Peterlee Campus provides modern conference facilities, meeting rooms, breakout spaces, a large atrium, restaurant and our dedicated Lubetkin Theatre, while Houghall offers extensive outdoor areas suitable for larger events. We can accommodate events for up to 1,000 delegates across our flexible facilities and provide free on-site parking, catering, audio-visual equipment and support from a dedicated Conference & Events Coordinator. Our Lubetkin Theatre has 220 seats and can be reconfigured for different events, while our sports facilities include retractable seating for up to 500 people. With convenient access from the A19 and A1, we provide a versatile North East venue for business, education, entertainment and community events.
