If you’re planning a wedding reception or a special party, the Assembly Room is best for you as it has facilities to provide as much or as little as you require. Large business events, training sessions and conferences can also be accommodated in the Assembly Room, the stage being perfect for speakers and presentations. A range of equipment can be provided for a small fee, including screen, projector and flip chart. The room is equipped with facilities like large stage area, proscenium arch, movable apron, lighting rig, sprung dance floor, kitchen facilities and a fully licenced bar. It can seat up to 120 in comfort, either banquet-style or at round tables.

The Court Room Gallery is Bakewell Town Hall's most popular and flexible space, seating up to 62 people. Situated on the ground floor, it has a small stage ideal for solo performers and an induction hearing loop to benefit those wearing hearing aids. Recently decorated in a stylish, modern scheme, the room makes the perfect venue for a medium-sized event, exhibition or wedding reception. The Court Room Gallery is a fully-accessible space with its own kitchen and provides a bright, airy space, with high ceilings and three arched windows that flood the room with light.

The Council Chamber is a popular choice for weddings, this beautiful room is full of character. It can accommodate up to 10 wedding guests seated theatre-style, and around our large grand oak tables. With two large windows featuring stained glass panels, the room is bathed in sunlight and is perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony with family and friends. As a venue for business meetings, the Council Chamber has a suitably impressive air. Ideal for small meetings, training and recruitment sessions, our tables comfortably accommodate a dozen people.
