We are Tweedies Bar & Lodge, a family-run hotel, bar and events venue in the heart of Grasmere, surrounded by the spectacular landscapes of the Lake District. Our three acres of private gardens give us a beautiful setting for celebrations, while our relaxed Lodge provides a warm and welcoming space for indoor events. We host weddings, parties, family celebrations, christenings, naming ceremonies, meetings, conferences and funerals and wakes. Our Lodge Restaurant can accommodate up to 60 guests for a sit-down meal or up to 80 for a celebration buffet. We also offer outdoor event options, including ceremonies and marquee celebrations in our gardens. Our dedicated events team works with you to shape your occasion, from bespoke menus and drinks to entertainment and event arrangements. We have 16 bedrooms, including four private Mews rooms, allowing guests and delegates to stay with us. Our bar, restaurant, gardens and accommodation come together to create a relaxed Lake District setting for celebrations, gatherings and business events.
We offer our Lodge Restaurant as one of our principal event spaces, with room for up to 60 guests for a sit-down meal or up to 80 guests for a celebration buffet. It is a relaxed setting for parties, christenings, meetings, funeral receptions and other gatherings, with our kitchen team able to create menus around your occasion.
Our lounge provides a more intimate setting within Tweedies and works particularly well as a breakout space or for smaller meetings and gatherings. We can also use the lounge as a dedicated area for smaller groups attending funeral receptions and family occasions.
Our three acres of private grounds and gardens give us a beautiful outdoor setting for celebrations. We can host ceremonies outside, welcome guests for drinks and canapés, and create outdoor wedding and party experiences, including the option of a marquee in the gardens.
