Hexham House

At Hexham House, we offer an elegant and historic setting for civil ceremonies in the heart of Hexham, Northumberland. Our Grade II* listed Georgian building has been beautifully restored while retaining its historic character, creating a distinctive setting for couples and their guests. We overlook the grounds of Hexham Abbey and are surrounded by attractive parkland, giving us a particularly scenic backdrop for wedding photographs and special occasions. We have two ceremony spaces, allowing us to accommodate both intimate gatherings and larger wedding ceremonies of up to 70 guests. Our Garden Room provides the larger setting, while our Lounge offers a more intimate option for smaller ceremonies. We also have seven luxury self-catering apartments within the building, providing convenient accommodation for wedding parties and guests. Our ceremony coordination team helps couples through the booking and legal process, allowing us to provide a relaxed and memorable setting for marriages, civil partnerships, commitment ceremonies, naming ceremonies and renewals of vows.
