Heritage Quay, University of Huddersfield

Heritage Quay gives us a distinctive setting where academic, cultural and professional events can take place alongside important archives and special collections at the University of Huddersfield. Our collections cover subjects including education, music, sport, politics and activism, theatre and performance, and art and design, creating an environment rich in knowledge and heritage. Our Group Space provides 84m² of flexible event accommodation and can host up to 100 people. We can arrange the room in different formats, including boardroom and café-style layouts, making it suitable for seminars, lectures, workshops, presentations and larger meetings. We provide integrated audiovisual equipment for projection and amplification, while an audio induction loop supports accessible participation. Internet access can also be requested as part of an event booking. Our facilities are particularly well suited to organisations looking for an environment that feels more engaging and purposeful than a standard meeting room. Educational institutions, professional organisations, cultural groups and heritage-focused programmes can benefit from the setting and the wider resources surrounding our event space. For external bookings, University Catering Services provides refreshments and meals, allowing us to support events with appropriate catering while maintaining a coordinated service. Whether you are organising a lecture, seminar, workshop, professional meeting or cultural gathering, Heritage Quay provides a flexible university-based environment where modern event facilities meet an inspiring archive and heritage setting.
