Briar Court Hotel & Venue has been welcoming guests and hosting events for more than 30 years, giving us extensive experience in both hospitality and event delivery. We are situated on Halifax Road in Birchencliffe, Huddersfield, just off Junction 24 of the M62, giving us convenient road connections to Huddersfield, Halifax, Leeds and Manchester. Our three principal event spaces allow us to accommodate a wide range of occasions. The Briar Suite is our largest and most flexible space, accommodating up to 150 guests for receptions and parties and up to 120 for lunch or dinner. For smaller occasions, our Courtroom provides an intimate setting for private functions and corporate meetings, while the Briar Lounge is suited to smaller corporate gatherings of up to 25 people. We combine our event facilities with 47 bedrooms, an on-site lounge and bar, catering, free Wi-Fi and approximately 130 complimentary parking spaces. This allows us to support both day events and occasions where guests require accommodation. Our events include conferences, meetings, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, christenings, celebrations of life, private parties and corporate functions. Whether you are organising a business meeting, wedding reception, family celebration or corporate gathering, we offer flexible spaces, convenient transport connections and practical facilities within one welcoming Huddersfield venue.
The Briar Suite is the hotel's largest and most adaptable event space. It accommodates up to 150 guests in a reception configuration and 120 for lunch or dinner. The room can also be configured for theatre, cabaret and boardroom-style events. It has a dedicated rear entrance and its own bar.
The Court Room is a sophisticated and charming space perfect for more intimate gatherings. It is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and can comfortably seat up to 40 diners for private banquets or funeral teas. Its cozy layout provides an elegant backdrop for family milestones, boardroom meetings, or private presentations.
The Briar Lounge is the smallest dedicated event space and is designed primarily for intimate corporate gatherings. The hotel states that it can accommodate up to 25 guests depending on the chosen layout. It is located at the rear of the building and is accessed through the Briar Suite entrance.
