The Craven Cruck Barn

The Craven Cruck Barn is our unique event space at the rear of The Craven Arms in Appletreewick, in the heart of Wharfedale and the Yorkshire Dales. We provide an atmospheric setting for weddings, celebrations, meetings, concerts, parties and community events. Our barn was constructed using traditional materials and techniques, with soaring oak trusswork supporting a distinctive local heather-thatched roof. We have stone walls finished with traditional lime and horsehair plaster, sheep’s-wool insulation, working gas lights and a huge real open fire that creates a warm and memorable atmosphere. Our space can be arranged for both large and small gatherings, with the balcony providing a popular stage area for bands and DJs. We also offer a PA system and lights for hire. Our kitchen prepares food from fresh, locally sourced produce, while our bar provides a selection of real ales. We specialise in tailor-made weddings and celebrations designed around each customer’s plans.
