At the University of Salford MediaCity, we provide a modern conference and events environment at the heart of the UK’s media and digital industries. Our facilities combine professional conference spaces with broadcast-standard creative and production facilities, giving organisers an environment suited to both traditional business events and imaginative media-focused occasions. We offer three floors of fully serviced meeting and conference rooms, supported by modern AV and communication technology, break-out areas and wireless access. Our facilities also include industry-standard HD TV studios, radio studios, a journalism studio, lecture theatres, classrooms, computer suites and exhibition areas. We welcome conferences, meetings, awards ceremonies, product launches, exhibitions, networking events and creative productions, with spaces suitable for both small and large gatherings. We are located alongside major media organisations including the BBC and ITV, placing our guests within an established creative and digital community. Our experienced conference team can also provide event-management support, helping organisers plan and deliver their events from start to finish.
We offer our third-floor conference suite for larger business gatherings, with configurations supporting up to 70 in boardroom or cabaret format, 120 reception and 120 theatre-style. The space also supports up to 12 exhibition stands.
We provide our Egg Gallery and Digital Performance Lab as flexible event spaces. Together, these areas can accommodate up to 200 guests for receptions, 120 theatre-style or 80 in cabaret, with exhibition capacity for up to 20 stands.
We provide our lecture theatres for presentations, lectures, conferences and teaching-related events. Our official capacity information gives 80 classroom-style and 120 theatre-style seating.
We offer our classrooms for smaller meetings, workshops, training and teaching activities. Our published capacity is 25 people in classroom configuration, making these spaces suitable for focused group sessions.
We provide computer suites for training, workshops, demonstrations and technology-focused events. Our official capacity is 24 people in classroom configuration, giving organisers a practical environment for hands-on sessions.
We have two industry-standard HD TV studios available for hire. Our studios include professional broadcast facilities and can support filming, production, presentations and media-focused events requiring specialist studio environments.
