Operating on the River Ouse in the centre of York, we provide a distinctive floating events experience through our fleet of riverboats. Rather than offering a conventional fixed conference or function room, we allow guests to host events while cruising past York's historic waterfront and landmarks. Our main private-hire location is King's Staith, YO1 9SN, with different layouts and capacities available depending on the selected vessel. We currently accommodate private charters for between 20 and 100 guests, depending on the boat. Our event service includes planning, catering, entertainment and bespoke hospitality options, allowing cruises to be tailored to both corporate and social occasions. We support meetings, networking events, team-building activities, staff parties, client entertainment, product launches and company celebrations. Our boats provide a combination of indoor and outdoor environments, including heated enclosed saloons and open-top decks. Depending on the vessel and package selected, facilities can include bars, dining areas, audiovisual equipment, microphones, projectors and screens. We also operate the River Duchess, which is an accessible vessel. Captain James Cook is the largest and most versatile vessel in the York fleet. River King is the smallest vessel listed in historical conference-venue information, with approximately 35 guests for receptions and 20 for banquets. Its smaller scale makes it appropriate for intimate private functions, dinners, drinks receptions and smaller group events.
