Acklam Hall is a historic Grade I-listed building in the Acklam area of Middlesbrough and is described by the venue as Middlesbrough's only Grade I-listed building. The building dates back to 1683 and retains significant historic architectural features, while its restoration has transformed it into a modern venue for weddings, private celebrations, business meetings, conferences and fine dining. The venue has a particularly strong wedding and private-event offering. Acklam Hall operates as an exclusive-use wedding venue, meaning it does not host more than one wedding on a day. Its wedding facilities can accommodate approximately 40–120 guests, with the venue's three exclusive-use rooms licensed for civil ceremonies for 6–120 people. For corporate and business events, Acklam Hall offers meeting and conference rooms capable of accommodating between 2 and 120 delegates. Its business-room selection includes the Boudoir, Parlour, Board Room and Drawing Room, with delegate packages incorporating room hire, meals and drinks, AV equipment, conference pads and pens. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hall. The venue also houses Tomahawk Steakhouse, its restaurant in residence, including two private dining rooms for exclusive use from 6–30 guests.
