The Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa is a characterful hotel in the heart of Helmsley, North Yorkshire. Originally an old coaching inn, the present hotel was rebuilt and renamed in 1855 by the Earl of Feversham. It has subsequently been developed into a luxury country retreat combining accommodation, dining, meetings, private events and spa facilities. For events, the Feversham Arms specialises in smaller, more intimate gatherings. Its current official events information identifies four dedicated spaces: the Boardroom, Churchill Suite, Snug and Library. The largest is the Churchill Suite, which accommodates up to 32 people in theatre or cabaret layouts, making it the hotel's principal conference and event space. Our venue is also particularly suitable for private dining and intimate weddings. The hotel currently advertises weddings of up to 32 guests in the Churchill Suite, while its exclusive-use wedding package can accommodate larger numbers across the hotel, with the current package referring to 70 day guests and 100 evening guests. Its Mediterranean-inspired outdoor heated pool, courtyard, spa, restaurant and historic interiors add to its appeal for corporate away days and private celebrations. The hotel also offers delegate packages incorporating meeting-room hire, refreshments, lunch, dinner and overnight accommodation.
The Churchill Suite is the main event room at the hotel and its largest dedicated meeting space. The current hotel specification gives 32 theatre, 32 cabaret and 24 private dining capacity. It also has natural daylight and French doors opening onto the private courtyard.
The Boardroom is designed specifically for executive meetings and intimate private dining. The current specification gives 13 in boardroom layout and 14 for private dining. It has natural light, presentation power points, direct-dial telephone and high-speed Wi-Fi.
The Snug is a cosy room positioned just off the restaurant. It accommodates up to 20 people for private dining at one large table and can also be used for entertainment such as a DJ during exclusive-use bookings.
The hotel’s award-winning, 2-AA Rosette Weathervane Restaurant can be exclusively hired alongside the poolside terraces for grand celebrations. Featuring high vaulted ceilings and a dramatic glass roof window, it accommodates up to 70 daytime guests and 100 evening reception guests for weddings and large events.
