Situated within the beautiful surroundings of Kensington Gardens, Serpentine offers an unusual setting for events, combining historic architecture, contemporary design and changing art exhibitions. Our venue-hire collection includes Serpentine South, a Grade II-listed former tea pavilion, Serpentine North, a former gunpowder store adapted into a gallery, The Magazine, a contemporary extension designed by Zaha Hadid, and the seasonal Serpentine Pavilion. These spaces provide distinctive backdrops for corporate breakfasts, receptions, seated dinners, product launches, fashion shows, filming and private functions. Depending on the space and exhibition, guests can enjoy an event surrounded by contemporary art and architecture. The Pavilion adds an outdoor element during the summer season, with its design changing each year.

Housed in a Grade II-listed former tea pavilion built in the 1930s, Serpentine South offers four interconnected gallery spaces.

A Grade II-listed former gunpowder store, Serpentine North features two central rectangular Powder rooms with exposed brick and beams, surrounded by a modern gallery.

Set within the Zaha Hadid-designed extension, The Magazine is our largest entertaining space. It can be hired independently or alongside Serpentine North, offering flexibility for different event formats.

Our annual architectural commission creates a distinctive summer event setting. The pavilion design changes each year and includes weather cover, lighting, power and a built-in bar.
