Danum Gallery, Library and Museum

@17tmbp

Danum Gallery, Library and Museum brings together art, history, learning and community activity in the heart of Doncaster. We are located at the junction of Waterdale and Chequer Road, where our restored historic façade, originally part of Doncaster High School for Girls, meets a contemporary four-floor cultural facility. Our spaces provide a distinctive environment for events that combine culture, creativity and modern facilities. Our collections include approximately 36,000 objects and around 10,000 photographs and glass-plate negatives, covering local history, costume, toys, household objects, pottery, agriculture, mining and everyday life. This gives our venue a rich cultural character that conventional meeting spaces cannot easily replicate. We welcome corporate meetings, cultural events and educational workshops, with meeting facilities equipped with digital screens, projectors and Wi-Fi. Our wider spaces, including the gallery, Rail Heritage Centre, garden and meeting rooms, provide different environments for conferences, receptions, exhibitions, talks, workshops and private gatherings. For larger meetings and events, catering can be arranged through Café 1910, helping organisers combine refreshments with their programme. Whether you are planning a business meeting, cultural gathering, exhibition, educational session or private event, we provide a flexible and engaging setting where guests can experience Doncaster’s heritage while enjoying contemporary event facilities.
