BFI IMAX gives an exceptional setting for events in the heart of London’s South Bank, directly beside Waterloo and with one of the largest cinema screens in the country. Our iconic 20m by 26m screen and 500-seat auditorium create a striking environment for major film premieres, product launches, awards ceremonies, corporate presentations and private screenings. Beyond the auditorium, we offer flexible reception and event areas across our ground floor and first-floor foyer, allowing us to accommodate larger receptions, dinners, photoshoots and brand events. Our venue is fully air-conditioned and licensed to serve alcohol, while our advanced projection capabilities support IMAX 2D and 3D as well as 70mm and 35mm film formats. We can also provide temporary staging in front of the screen and work with our catering suppliers to support event hospitality. With our distinctive cinematic setting, technical facilities and central location, we provide a memorable environment for large-scale events and celebrations.
Our 500-seat auditorium is the centrepiece of BFI IMAX. We provide a 20m × 26m screen, advanced sound and projection technology, wheelchair-accessible seating and the option to install temporary stages for presentations and ceremonies.
Our ground-floor event space provides a flexible reception setting beneath the auditorium. We can accommodate standing receptions or seated dinners and have previously hosted events for major organisations and businesses.
Our first-floor foyer can be adapted for different event formats, including launch events, dinner parties, brand presentations and receptions. We can accommodate sizeable groups while tailoring the space to the occasion.
