Abney Park Chapel is a Grade II listed nineteenth-century chapel situated within Abney Park Cemetery in Stoke Newington, North London. Designed by William Hosking and completed in 1842, we offer a distinctive historic setting for intimate ceremonies, cultural events and small gatherings. Our restored building combines original architectural character with new stained-glass windows, updated flooring, modern lighting and accessible facilities. The chapel features high ceilings, a chandelier and mezzanine seating, creating an atmospheric backdrop for wedding ceremonies, memorials, exhibitions and performances. We can accommodate up to 70 people, with 50 seated on the ground floor and another 20 on the mezzanine, subject to the approved event layout. Our facilities include Wi-Fi, a Bluetooth speaker, and optional projector, screen and PA equipment. We also offer exclusive-use hire and access to approved drinks suppliers. Located within a historic, tree-filled cemetery, we provide an intimate venue where heritage, architecture and the surrounding natural environment combine to create a memorable event experience.
