The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre

Set within Northumberland National Park beside Hadrian’s Wall, The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre provides a distinctive setting for business events, learning activities, community gatherings and outdoor experiences. Our award-winning, fully accessible building combines flexible learning and event spaces with ultra-fast Wi-Fi, conference AV equipment and on-site catering. We can host events for up to 100 people and have welcomed international product launches, conferences, strategic planning workshops, staff days, community consultations and well-being retreats. Our location also allows corporate groups to combine indoor sessions with team-building activities across the surrounding landscape, including guided walks and orienteering. Beyond events, we provide exhibitions, a 90-seat café, shop, tourist information and a fully accessible Whin Sill grassland roof with a rooftop walk. Our adjoining YHA accommodation provides an option for groups wishing to stay overnight. With Hadrian’s Wall, dramatic landscapes and extensive outdoor space surrounding us, we offer an inspiring environment where business, learning, wellbeing and connection with Northumberland’s natural and cultural heritage can come together.
