The Crown & Anchor is a traditional pub and restaurant in Barugh Green, Barnsley, operated by True North Brew Co. The venue combines a traditional indoor pub environment with a substantial beer garden and private event facilities. Its event offering is aimed primarily at informal celebrations, family occasions, parties, group dining and social gatherings rather than large formal conferences. Our venue's principal dedicated private-event facility is its fully decorated marquee, available from April to September for groups of 15–60 guests. The marquee has access to a private outdoor area and the wider beer garden, allowing organisers to increase the usable space when weather conditions permit. For smaller gatherings, a section of the bar can be reserved throughout the year from 15 guests, with buffet and drinks arrangements available. The Crown & Anchor provides food and drink packages for group bookings, including standard and premium buffets and dessert options. It also has an on-site customer car park, outdoor seating and free Wi-Fi.
The Crown & Anchor's marquee is the venue's principal dedicated private-event space. It is fully decorated and designed for celebrations such as birthdays, baby showers, Christenings and engagement parties. A private outdoor area and access to the beer garden provide additional flexibility, particularly during suitable weather.
A section of the traditional bar can be reserved for smaller private gatherings throughout the year. The area is intended for informal celebrations and group occasions, with buffet and drinks arrangements available. Its fireplace, traditional pub character and relaxed atmosphere make it more suitable for social gatherings than formal conferences.
