We are a welcoming community and conference venue at the heart of North Ormesby, Middlesbrough, providing flexible spaces for meetings, conferences, training, performances, family celebrations and community activities. Our centre combines practical modern facilities with a peaceful and attractive environment, including our distinctive Cloister Garden, which provides a pleasant space for guests to relax between sessions or enjoy outdoor activities. We offer rooms ranging from intimate meeting spaces for small groups through to our Main Hall, which can accommodate up to 200 people in a theatre-style arrangement. Our facilities include Wi-Fi, projection equipment, sound systems, a hearing loop, accessible facilities and flexible room layouts. We also have kitchen and catering facilities to support events of different sizes. Free public parking is available on the Market Place, with additional parking arrangements on market days. As a community-focused social enterprise, we welcome organisations, voluntary groups, public-sector agencies, families and community organisations. We aim to provide a comfortable, professional and affordable setting while supporting the wider North Ormesby community.
Our Main Hall is our largest and most flexible event space, accommodating up to 200 people in theatre-style seating. We provide a built-in projector, full sound system, stage, stage lighting and excellent acoustics, making the hall suitable for conferences, presentations, performances, celebrations and community events. An adjoining kitchen also allows us to support larger catered functions.
Our Niven Room is a fully equipped conference and meeting room designed for smaller professional and community groups. We can accommodate around 20 to 25 people comfortably, with flexible layouts for meetings, training sessions, group activities and presentations. It provides a quieter setting away from the Main Hall.
Our Ebor Room is a compact meeting room for up to 10 people. We provide a practical environment for small meetings, interviews, consultations and group discussions, making it a useful option when a private and focused space is required.
Our Dow Room is a small, comfortable meeting space for groups of up to 10 people. We regularly use it for one-to-one meetings and counselling sessions, while its intimate layout also makes it suitable for interviews, consultations and small discussions.
