Goldsborough Hall is a historic stately-home event venue in the village of Goldsborough, near Knaresborough and Harrogate in North Yorkshire. The Hall dates back more than 400 years and has strong royal associations, having been the home of Princess Mary during the 1920s. Today, the property combines historic architecture with luxury accommodation, fine dining, landscaped gardens and dedicated event facilities. The venue is particularly recognised for exclusive weddings, offering civil ceremonies within the Hall, religious ceremonies at the adjoining St Mary's Church, reception drinks, wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations. Princess Mary's Drawing Room is one of the Hall's principal wedding spaces and is used for both ceremonies and evening receptions. The room provides a traditional stately-home setting and is named after Princess Mary, who lived at Goldsborough Hall in the 1920s. The current official wedding page lists capacity of up to 150 guests.
The Sir Richard Hutton Room is an elegant historic room featuring 18th-century architectural details, including Robert Adam pillars and decorative cornices. It can accommodate up to 110 guests for a civil ceremony or 90 for a fully seated wedding breakfast. It is particularly appropriate for smaller or medium-sized weddings.
The Orangery is a bright, approximately 1,000-square-foot event space designed for wedding ceremonies and wedding breakfasts. Large doors open towards the sun terrace and private gardens, creating a connection between the indoor dining area and outdoor grounds. A marquee can also be positioned beside the Orangery for larger events.
The Lonsdale Room is a new addition to the business and social offering at Goldsborough Hall. This newly refurbished room is a wonderful choice for a business meeting or a private dinner party. With gorgeous views overlooking the gardens from its ground floor setting, it is a light and airy room, served with an adjoining cloakroom. The double doors open out onto The Orangery which offers additional space if necessary.
The Athlone Room is a new addition to the business and social offering at Goldsborough Hall. This newly refurbished room is ideal for smaller business meetings, private lunches or dinners. Its huge windows overlook the gardens and sun terrace and it is served by an adjoining cloakroom.
The marquee is the venue's solution for larger celebrations. It can accommodate up to 250 guests and can be positioned within the Hall's grounds. Guests can use the Hall's state rooms for ceremonies before moving outside to the marquee for larger wedding breakfasts and receptions.
