The Brunel Museum offers a truly distinctive setting in historic Rotherhithe, where engineering heritage, culture and events come together. Located on the site of the Thames Tunnel, our venue gives guests the opportunity to experience one of London's most remarkable historic engineering landmarks while attending an event. Our Grade II* listed Grand Entrance Hall, also known as the Tunnel Shaft, provides a dramatic underground setting with soaring brickwork and impressive acoustics. We also offer our Engine House, terrace and botanical roof garden for different event requirements. Our spaces work particularly well for weddings, private parties, corporate events, performances, concerts, theatre productions, filming and cultural occasions. We can also provide bar facilities and event infrastructure to support private functions. With our historic atmosphere, distinctive architecture and convenient Rotherhithe location, we provide an event experience that combines London's heritage with a memorable and unusual venue environment.
Our Grade II* listed Tunnel Shaft gives events an atmospheric underground setting with soaring brickwork and remarkable acoustics. We accommodate seated dinners, theatre-style events and standing receptions here.
The Engine House houses our museum collection and provides an historic event environment with a small kitchen, two unisex toilets, including one wheelchair-accessible toilet, and access to our exterior areas.
Our botanical Roof Garden sits above the Grand Entrance Hall and creates an intimate outdoor setting with planting, firepits, seating, lighting and bar facilities. It is particularly suited to drinks receptions and informal gatherings.
Our brick-floored, tree-lined Terrace provides an outdoor event setting surrounded by edible herb planting and views towards the Thames. We can accommodate receptions, theatre-style events and cabaret-style arrangements
