The Hidden Oak gives an exclusive countryside setting where celebrations, weddings and private events can unfold across 200 acres of our family-run estate near Stockton-on-Tees. Our venue has grown from a working farm into a distinctive event setting surrounded by woodland, landscaped gardens and two lakes. We offer one wedding at a time, giving each couple exclusive use of the estate and allowing the whole celebration to take place in one location. Our Barn provides a beautiful setting for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and evening receptions, while the Secret Garden and Lakeside offer alternative ceremony locations. The Courtyard creates a natural space for drinks and socialising, and our Farmhouse provides comfortable on-site accommodation. We also offer in-house catering, a fully stocked bar and professional sound and lighting. Whether you are planning a wedding, corporate event, retreat or private celebration, our team works with you to create an occasion that feels personal, relaxed and entirely your own.

The Barn

The Barn gives us a bright, modern setting while retaining its character as a 17th-century milking parlour. We accommodate 110 guests for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts and 150 for evening receptions.

Secret Garden

The Secret Garden gives us one of our main ceremony settings, with landscaped gardens surrounding the stretch tent. We provide weather cover while keeping panoramic views across the gardens.

The Courtyard

The Courtyard provides us with a characterful outdoor setting for drinks receptions, with its cobbled surface, sofas and outdoor seating. It connects directly to The Barn through the bi-fold doors.
