Our Institute of Contemporary Arts is a distinctive cultural venue on The Mall in central London, overlooking St James’s Park. We offer a varied collection of spaces for conferences, meetings, private parties, weddings, product launches, fashion presentations, screenings, dinners, filming and photography. Our spaces include the historic Nash and Brandon Rooms, two screening rooms, Upper Galleries, a large Theatre, the ICA Bar and our flexible Studio. The Theatre can accommodate up to 350 guests standing and includes professional sound, lighting and audio-visual equipment, while our screening rooms provide dedicated settings for conferences, press views and private screenings. The Nash and Brandon Rooms feature Regency interiors, large windows and balconies overlooking St James’s Park. We also provide event support, an in-house technical team and approved catering suppliers. Our central location places us close to Piccadilly Circus, Charing Cross and Trafalgar Square.
Our Nash and Brandon Rooms are Regency-period spaces designed by John Nash, with floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies overlooking St James’s Park. Together they accommodate up to 150 standing, with 80 theatre-style, 60 cabaret or 30 boardroom.
Our Theatre is a flexible production and event space with professional sound, lighting and audio-visual equipment. It accommodates up to 350 standing, 186 theatre-style or 150 for dinner.
Our Upper Galleries provide a quieter and adaptable setting for private hires, exhibitions and other events. They accommodate up to 124 standing or 60 for dining and can also be used for post-dinner events.
Our Cinema 1 provides a dedicated screening and presentation environment for up to 186 people. It is suitable for private screenings, conferences and press events and can be hired with other ICA spaces.
Our Cinema 2 is the smaller of our two screening rooms, accommodating up to 45 people. It provides an intimate setting for private screenings, presentations, conferences and press events.
Our Studio is a raw industrial space adapted by 6a Architects. It is suited to intimate drinks receptions, creative workshops, presentations and meetings, accommodating up to 80 standing, 60 theatre-style or 30 boardroom.
