At the Royal Ballet and Opera, we bring together world-class opera, ballet, music and dance in the heart of Covent Garden. Our historic Royal Opera House provides a distinctive setting for performances, private events, learning activities, exhibitions, concerts and other experiences. Our Covent Garden home includes the Main Auditorium, the Linbury Theatre and the flexible Clore Studio, alongside a range of additional public and event spaces throughout the building. We welcome audiences and event guests into a landmark cultural destination where they can enjoy exceptional performances while also exploring our exhibitions, tours, dining spaces and wider programme. Our building supports a broad range of events, from large-scale productions and concerts to private functions, educational activities and creative programmes. With its combination of historic architecture, specialist theatre facilities and central Covent Garden location, we offer an event environment that is both distinctive and highly versatile.

Paul Hamlyn Hall

Our Paul Hamlyn Hall is a prominent space within the Royal Opera House and regularly hosts talks, workshops, performances, family activities and other events as part of our programme.

Our Crush Room is an established space within the Royal Opera House that supports dining, talks, workshops and other activities alongside our wider programme of events and performances.

Linbury Theatre

Our Linbury Theatre is our smaller dedicated theatre space, seating 400 people. We use it for performances, events, rehearsals and a wide range of creative and educational activity.

Main Auditorium

Our Main Auditorium is the principal performance space within the Royal Opera House and dates from 1858. We provide seating for approximately 2,250 people in this historic Grade I listed theatre.

Clore Studio

Our Clore Studio is a flexible space designed for performance and events. We use it for a variety of creative, educational and public programmes within our Covent Garden home.

Linbury Foyer

Our Linbury Foyer provides an additional event and public space connected with the Linbury Theatre. We use it for workshops, performances, family activities and audience experiences.

Main Entrance Foyer
