Wylam Brewery / Palace of Arts

@cke158

Wylam Brewery is an event venue based within the historic Palace of Arts in Newcastle's Exhibition Park. The Palace of Arts is the last surviving building from the 1929 North East Exhibition and is now a Grade II-listed multi-purpose arts and entertainment space. Wylam has transformed the building into a distinctive venue combining heritage architecture with modern event facilities and a varied programme of cultural and private events. The venue's principal event areas include the Grand Hall, South Lobby, Tap Room and Outdoor Terrace. The Grand Hall is the largest space, with capacity for up to 800 standing, 300 theatre-style or 200 dinner guests. Its large domed interior and historic character make it particularly distinctive for weddings, performances, corporate events, exhibitions and major private functions. The South Lobby provides a smaller flexible setting, while the Tap Room is appropriate for more intimate gatherings. The venue benefits from its location within Exhibition Park while remaining close to Newcastle city centre. It has dedicated event-planning support, catering, audio facilities, natural light and outdoor space. The building also has a full marriage licence, making it suitable for wedding ceremonies as well as receptions.
