Menier Chocolate Factory – The Famous Theatre

Our theatre occupies a former chocolate factory in Southwark and has been home to our producing theatre company since 2004. We offer an intimate and flexible performance environment where audiences can experience plays, musicals, comedy and new writing at close range. Our compact auditorium creates a strong connection between performers and audiences, while the historic character of the building adds to the atmosphere. We have developed a reputation for producing ambitious work, including new productions and revivals that have gone on to transfer to London’s West End and Broadway. Our facilities include a theatre bar, box office, cloakroom and accessible facilities, with step-free access available to the auditorium through our accessible entrance. We also provide dedicated wheelchair seating and companion seating, with staff available to assist visitors with access requirements. Located close to London Bridge and Borough, our theatre provides a distinctive setting for live performance in the heart of Southwark.
