Our Royal Institution venue occupies a Grade I listed building at 21 Albemarle Street in Mayfair, where more than 200 years of scientific history are combined with contemporary event facilities. We offer a collection of historic and modern spaces for conferences, meetings, dinners, receptions, product launches, presentations, away days, filming and hybrid events. Our iconic Theatre provides the largest event setting, while our Library, Georgian Room, Sunley Room and Writing Room offer more intimate options. The Conversation Room provides flexible space for conferences, training and away days, while our Mezzanine and Atrium are suited to networking and receptions. We have an in-house events team, dedicated event managers, AV technicians and expert caterers, with livestreaming and hybrid-event capabilities available. Our venue also offers opportunities to include guided tours of our historic building and live science demonstrations, giving private and corporate events a direct connection with the Royal Institution's scientific heritage.

The Theatre
Price on requestOur Theatre is our largest event space and accommodates up to 400 people for venue-hire bookings. Its historic amphitheatre design and integrated AV make it suitable for conferences, presentations, launches, awards and filming.
The Conversation Room
Price on requestOur Conversation Room provides a contemporary meeting and event setting for up to 100 guests in theatre style and 50 in cabaret. It is suited to conferences, training, away days and hybrid meetings.
The Georgian Room
Price on requestOur Georgian Room is an intimate historic space suited to breakout sessions, drinks receptions, private dining and smaller meetings. It accommodates up to 80 guests depending on the event layout.
The Sunley Room
Price on requestOur Sunley Room is a historic ground-floor meeting and dining space with period features. It accommodates up to 50 guests and is suited to meetings, conferences and intimate private dining.
The Speaker's Room
Price on requestOur Speaker's Room is an intimate heritage meeting space with natural daylight and antique décor. It accommodates up to 20 guests and is suitable for small corporate away days, meetings and filming.
The Atrium & Exhibition
Price on requestOur Atrium provides a modern networking and reception setting with views of the Mezzanine and Faraday Museum. It accommodates up to 120 guests and includes access to the Royal Institution exhibitions.
The Demonstration Room
Price on requestOur Demonstration Room is an adaptable black-canvas space with integrated AV and adjustable lighting. It accommodates up to 60 guests and works for presentations, meetings, receptions, demonstrations and product launches.
The Writing Room
Price on requestOur Writing Room is a small period room adjoining the Georgian Room and Library. It accommodates up to 30 guests and works well for meetings, receptions and breakout activities.
The Mezzanine
Price on requestOur Mezzanine is a contemporary indoor event space overlooking the Atrium. It accommodates up to 100 guests and is suited to networking, receptions and conference breakout activities.
