The Ballroom is Roker Hotel's principal large-scale event space. Refurbished in 2024, it features Victorian-inspired detailing, crystal chandeliers, tall arched windows, a stage, dance floor, two private bars and a self-contained banqueting kitchen. It is designed for weddings, conferences, dinners, awards, live entertainment and large celebrations.
1842 Café & Bistro is the hotel's contemporary coastal dining venue, offering a more intimate alternative to the Ballroom. It features a relaxed café-and-bistro atmosphere and can be used for private dining and selected functions. The hotel states that it can accommodate events of up to 100 guests.
Poetic License Bar is the hotel's dedicated bar venue and provides the smallest of the spaces identified for private hire. Its character makes it more appropriate for intimate social gatherings and private drinks events than large formal functions. The current private-hire page gives a maximum capacity of 15 guests.
The Lounge is a stylish space adjoining the Ballroom, featuring booth seating, skylights, a staircase entrance and its own fully stocked bar.
