The Old Fire Station Community Centre

We are The Old Fire Station Community Centre, a historic grassroots community building in the heart of Stoke Newington. Our home at 61 Leswin Road has served the local community since the building became a community centre in 1982, following its earlier life as a working fire station. Today, we provide a welcoming space for local people, charities, voluntary organisations and community groups. Our building accommodates a range of organisations while also providing halls and meeting spaces for community activities and events. We host and support activities including exercise and wellbeing classes, social gatherings, parties, family celebrations and children's events. Our character comes from the combination of our historic fire-station setting and our continuing role as a community-focused venue. We are particularly suited to organisations and individuals looking for a local, practical and community-oriented space for gatherings, activities and celebrations. We continue to be an important part of the community in Stoke Newington and Hackney.
