Theatreship

Theatreship offers a distinctive setting in London's Docklands, bringing together maritime heritage, performing arts and community events aboard a restored historic cargo ship near Canary Wharf. Built in 1913, our vessel has been transformed into a floating cultural venue, with a theatre and cinema inside the former cargo hold and an additional exhibition and event space on the upper deck. Our auditorium provides an intimate setting for film screenings, live music, theatre, talks and presentations, supported by sound and lighting facilities. Guests can also enjoy our community café-bar and the waterside atmosphere of the surrounding Docklands. As a not-for-profit arts centre, we aim to make creative experiences more accessible while providing a welcoming space for local communities and visiting audiences.
