At V&A South Kensington, we provide an exceptional event setting surrounded by more than 5,000 years of human creativity. Our Grade I listed museum combines historic architecture with some of London’s most distinctive event spaces, including the Dome, John Madejski Garden, Raphael Court, Hintze Sculpture Galleries, paintings galleries, Gilbert Bayes Gallery and Gamble Room. Our spaces can accommodate both intimate dinners and large receptions, with the largest published capacity reaching 600 guests. We offer a range of corporate and private events, from networking and awards ceremonies to weddings, fundraising dinners and private views. Guests can also add access to selected galleries or exhibitions to their event, creating a wider museum experience. For larger occasions, multiple spaces can be hired together, subject to availability.
We provide an elegant setting with a soaring ceiling, classical architecture, marble floors and Dale Chihuly’s central glass sculpture. It is particularly suitable for receptions, dinners and dinner dances, with a central bar and space for a stage.
We provide our largest event space, surrounded by important Renaissance art and a gilded Spanish altarpiece. The gallery includes in-house lighting and space for a stage even at maximum capacity.
We provide an elegant gallery setting surrounded by classical sculpture. Our galleries lead onto the John Madejski Garden and are particularly suited to receptions, smaller dinners and exhibition private views.
We provide an outdoor setting with a paved ellipse, fountains and views of our 19th-century terracotta façade. The garden is beautifully illuminated at night, and indoor space is included as a wet-weather contingency.
